While most think of postpartum as the first 6 weeks, we know support is needed well beyond that. We’re honoured to walk alongside families from newborn days through to school years - and everything in between.
Many parents reach out around 6-12 months postpartum, when the initial help has faded but the mental load and exhaustion are still heavy, especially with milestones like solids, movement, and return to work.
Whether it’s extra help with meals and housework, support through life’s challenges, higher home-care needs, recovery from injury, navigating grief, or simply lightening the daily load, we’re here for it.
Parenthood can be heavy at every stage. Our tailored, parent-led support goes beyond cleaning; caring for the whole home with compassion, knowledge, and initiative.
-
While we provide housekeeping support, it’s just one element of our wider care.
We use the cleaning products you already know and trust, keeping your home safe, familiar, and free from unexpected reactions or damage.
We’re also resourceful when needed -simple household staples like baking soda and white vinegar can work wonders!
-
We proudly support families across Canterbury and do our best to travel wherever we’re needed.
Feel free to reach out and enquire with your specific location to check availability and travel costs.

Often, we can look through your cupboards and create something delicious from even the most basic pantry supplies. It’s a skill we love to bring into homes - being resourceful, seasonal, and creative, while surprising you with meals that truly nourish.
We can also support with meal ideas, planning or prepare favourite dishes your family loves (and pick up your click & collect on route, too!).
Check out of Resources page with helpful information on pantry basics and how we can make the most of each visit.

Safety is our highest priority in our support. We support our team with knowledge in Matrescence and Maternal Mental Health Peer Support, which allows us to safely hold space for you and your experiences.
While we aren’t counsellors or therapists, we know the value of a safe, judgement-free conversation with someone who just gets it. Sometimes, sharing openly (while your washing is being folded) can be a powerful turning point in the challenges of parenthood.
Our peer support is designed to guide and assist you, including connecting you with a wide range of professional services and resources if you need additional support.
-
You don’t need to be home for us to get things done. Often, we initially meet families, then work independently while you rest or step out. Some leave keys or codes and return to a tidy home and completed tasks *dreamyyy!*
We can chat while we work, or you can enjoy quiet time - it’s your home, and your comfort comes first.
-
We know letting someone into your home can feel uncomfortable, especially during such a significant time of life.
Often, our families note how much easier is it to receive support from a neutral professional on our team than from a friend - There’s often less fear of judgement and the clarity of an outsourced, paid service can help make our support feel a little more comfortable.
If you’re gifting this support, it can be thoughtful to check with the recipient first. And if you’ve been gifted a session but prefer not to use it, we’re happy to transfer it to someone else.
-
Dogs are another favourite part of our work! Meeting your fur babies is just as exciting as meeting your little humans. With a 45 kg rescue dog of our own at Dew Drops HQ, we’re comfortable around all kinds of pets and always respect their space - or give all the pats if they’re happy for it.
We understand the importance of treating your pets with respect and care. Please let us know if there’s anything special we should be aware of before your session.
