Our support
Real support for family life.
Practical Home Support
The little things pile up quickly, especially when you’re already carrying a lot.
Our practical home support takes some of that everyday physical and mental load off - less to keep on top of, less sitting in your head, and a little more space for you and your family.
We tailor each visit to what matters most to you. Typical tasks include:
-
Washing, hanging, folding, putting away, changing sheets - whatever would be most helpful.
-
Dishes, loading or emptying the dishwasher, benches, clearing up and giving the kitchen a reset.
-
Vacuuming, bathrooms, floors, dusting, tidying and general cleaning around the home.
-
Sorting cupboards and drawers, restocking baby supplies, changing stations, pantry bits or getting things back in order.
Food Prep & Nutrition
Meals, snacks and food prep, made in your kitchen around what you and your family actually eat.
Whether you’re stocking the freezer before baby arrives, right in the thick of postpartum, or just trying to keep everyone fed through everyday family life - we meet you where you’re at and take some of that job off your hands.
-
Meals made in your kitchen, based around what you and your family actually eat. We can plan together, follow your recipes or ours, use what you already have, and prep ingredients or meals ahead for the days to come.
-
Easy snacks, baking, lunchbox bits or things you can grab one-handed when sitting down for a proper meal isn’t happening.
-
Getting meals, snacks and ingredients prepped before baby arrives, or stocking things up to make the day-to-day easier, no matter the season you’re in.
-
Every family eats differently, and there’s no judgement from us about what that looks like. We can work around preferences, allergies, intolerances, sensory needs, cultural foods or existing dietary guidance - and meet your family wherever you’re at.
emotional support
Parenthood can bring a LOT with it, and sometimes it helps to have someone alongside you who gets it.
Our team is trained in matrescence and maternal mental health, with peer support available around both emotional wellbeing and feeding.
A non-judgemental person to talk things through with, ask the questions, share what’s actually going on, and help you find more specialised support when you need it.
-
Peer support through the overwhelm, identity shifts, self-doubt, hard days and all the stuff that can come with pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood.
We’re not therapists or clinical mental health support - we’re someone alongside you who understands this space, can listen without judgement and help you find further support when needed. -
Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, mixed feeding, changing plans or simply figuring out what works for you and your baby.
Trained feeding peer support is available through some members of our team, offering practical information, a listening ear and support without pressure or judgement around how you feed.If you need more specialised feeding support, we can help point you towards the right person too.
-
There’s a lot that can happen alongside having a baby.
We can help you understand and navigate some of the physical, emotional, social and identity changes that come with becoming a mother - whether it’s your first baby or your fourth. -
Sometimes what’s going on needs more specialised support. We can help you work out where to go next and connect you with trusted lactation, mental health or other health professionals when needed.
Childcare
Sometimes what would help most is simply another trusted pair of hands with the kids.
We can care for your baby or older children at home while you rest, get things done, spend time with your new baby, head to an appointment, or just have a bit of space. We can also come along to appointments when having another person there would make things easier.
-
Flexible in-home childcare for babies and children, with their care, play and usual routines covered while you rest, catch up on life, or have some time for yourself.
-
An extra pair of hands with older kids when a new baby arrives - playing, getting out of the house, helping with routines or giving you some uninterrupted time with baby.
-
We can care for your children while you attend an appointment, or come along with you when an extra person would be useful - whether that’s helping with baby, keeping an older child occupied or simply making the logistics easier.
-
Your child’s care and safety always come first, but when there’s space, we’ll get on with the little things around the home too - folding laundry, sorting the dishwasher, prepping food or giving things a quick reset.
Coaching
Dedicated 1:1, in-home coaching with Percy and Kirsten, both qualified life coaches with years of experience across teaching, parental wellbeing and supporting people through change.
Little Compass gives you a full hour to sit down, unpack what’s going on and focus properly on you - with coaching around the areas they know best.
-
A chance to think beyond the birth and actually prepare for life after baby - your support, expectations, relationships, mental load, identity and what you might need when you’re in it.
-
Space to unpack the huge transition into motherhood - identity, relationships, emotions, expectations, returning to work, changing priorities and finding your feet as things keep shifting.
-
Support that takes into account how your brain actually works, particularly alongside parenting, work and the relentless mental load.
Looking at what’s draining you, what keeps getting stuck, and realistic ways to make everyday life work better. -
A dedicated 60-minute coaching session in your own home, separate from our usual Dew Drops support visits.
Babies in arms are absolutely welcome to stay with you. Because we want you to actually have the space to focus on the session, Little Compass isn’t suitable with toddlers or older children in your care at the same time.
Standalone coaching is currently available to families we’ve previously visited and worked with, and all sessions are booked by enquiry so we can make sure the support you’re looking for is within our scope.
-
Coaching begins with four 60-minute in-home coaching sessions, booked weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
$120 per session
Includes your 60-minute in-home coaching session and travel in our Christchurch support area.
$95 per session with a Dew Drops visit
If you’re already having in-home support with Percy or Kirsten, your coaching session can be booked directly afterwards at a reduced rate, with the full 60 minutes added on to your usual support time.
Sessions are paid individually, so there’s no need to pay for all four upfront.
After your first four sessions, casual ongoing coaching is available if you’d like to continue.
Ongoing coaching | $130
Once you’ve completed your initial four sessions, individual 60-minute sessions are available as needed, including travel.
Ongoing coaching directly after a Dew Drops visit remains $95.

Percy works around your family and whatever’s already happening, capturing the little moments and details without needing to pose or perform for the camera.

“This support service is invaluable to any parent - new, experienced, or just needing an extra pair of hands through a challenging period.
Dew Drops tailors support to your household and immediately becomes part of your family. This support has been invaluable to our family transitioning from 4 to 5 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!”
-
“Dew Drops came to help me when my baby was two weeks old, chatting with me about how I was and then just whizzed around my house sorting everything that they could see needed doing.
I was able to just relax and bond with my newborn and not worry about all the jobs that needed doing around me. It was lovely just having the company too. I would highly recommend to anyone”
-
“I cannot thank Dew Drops enough for how much the support helped us transition from one to two children.
By taking on daily duties and caring for our toddler, Dew Drops created space for us to enjoy the newborn cuddles.
It was perfect company during that emotionally challenging postnatal period. Highly recommend for any new or experienced mums!”
