“I reached out to Jess sitting in the hospital 2 weeks post partum with our 3rd baby - but in fact caring for our 18 month old who had just needed surgery. Our 3.5 year old was staying with family and I was feeling pulled in a million directions. We had left the house in a whirlwind with a sick child, not to mention the standard chaos of welcoming a newborn baby home. Family and friends all wanted to help and were bringing me supplies from home - but I also knew finding the things I needed was no easy task.

After ending up in a car accident on the way home to get things myself I remembered Jess’s incredible business. It was a Friday when I messaged her with an SOS - by Saturday she had juggled her own family needs to make it happen - to say our home was spotless, is an understatement. Jess went above and beyond - seeing and doing things I hadn’t even realised needed doing.

The kids clothes, toys and snacks organized in a way that only a mother can to make like simple and easy. My own walk in wardrobe - actually able to walk into it! “I am so thankful for Jessie's help while at the airport! She watched baby and our bags when I needed to go to the bathroom, and when my daughter wanted to walk everywhere, Jessie sat with our bags so I didn’t have to juggle luggage and chase a toddler. When I needed to sit, Jessie walked with bub while I sat with the bags.

Then our flight got cancelled, and I am so thankful that Jessie was there to help. She made sure we were going to be on the next flight available, got our checked bags organized and helped with what to do while we waited for the new flight. I was 7 months postpartum when she first came into our home. I was struggling to stay on top of everything around the house especially since my baby had started solids.

I didn’t expect to be struggling 7 months in but not having the support from early on really started to wear me down. My mental and physical health was on the decline due to the stress of simple daily tasks, surviving off the bare minimum amount of sleep and not having any time free for myself and my partner.

Having Jessie come in took such a huge weight off my shoulders. It truly takes a village, but when you don’t have one available everything caves in around you.

I think Jessie’s service is an essential when it comes to postpartum, if this service was readily available to all families I think we would see mental health improve, relationships and home life improve and just happier families in general."
